Monument Town Council puts Town Manager, Police Chief on administrative leave

Monument – Monument Town Manager Chris Lowe and Chief of Police Jacob Shirk have been placed on paid administrative leave says Commander Steve Burk, press liaison for the Monument Police Department. “They were placed on paid administrative leave by the Council pending independent investigation into personnel matters,” said Burk, “The leave started effective Monday night but the piece of paper that got sent said Tuesday, Feb. 6 and it was initially a two-week period.” Burke said that he does not know who will be conducting the investigation.
