VIDEO: Caldara explains why he will not comply with Boulder’s “assault weapon” ban

Boulder— Jon Caldara, president of the free market think tank Independence Institute*, and a Boulder, Colorado resident, explains in a new video (see below) why he will not comply with an ordinance passed by the Boulder City Council in 2018 that, among other things, bans many commonly owned semi-automatic rifles, which the city loosely define as “assault weapons.” The law went in to effect on January 1. Complete Colorado coverage of the Boulder ordinance is available here, and coverage of the resistance to the ban by gun owners and civil liberties advocates is available here.  Caldara has previously written on why he won’t comply here.
